Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: July 11, 2026.
Mentalium (“we,” “us,” “our”) lets people request deletion of personal data we hold, whether you contacted us directly through mentalium.tech, or your messages were processed by a Mentalium-built agent on behalf of a business client using WhatsApp, Instagram, or Facebook Messenger.
If You Contacted Mentalium Directly
If you submitted our contact/qualifier form or emailed us, we hold the details you provided (name, email, phone, company, and message content). To request deletion:
- Email business@mentalium.tech with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.”
- Include the email address or phone number you used when contacting us, so we can locate your record.
- We will delete or anonymize your data within 30 days and confirm by email once complete, except where we are required to retain limited records for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.
If You Messaged a Business Using a Mentalium Agent
If you exchanged messages with a business (for example, over WhatsApp or Instagram) that uses a Mentalium-built AI agent, that business is the data controller for your conversation — the same as if you had messaged them without an agent involved. We process those messages only as a service provider on that business’s behalf.
To request deletion of that conversation data:
- Contact the business directly (the WhatsApp/Instagram/Facebook account you messaged) and ask them to delete your data. They can instruct us to remove it from our systems.
- Alternatively, email business@mentalium.tech with the business name, the platform (WhatsApp, Instagram, or Messenger), and the phone number/handle you used. We will forward the request to the relevant client and remove the data from our own systems within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations that business may have.
What Gets Deleted
Upon a valid request, we delete or irreversibly anonymize the personal data associated with your request from our active systems and instruct any sub-processors (such as our hosting or email providers) to do the same, except data we are legally required to retain (for example, for tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes), which is kept only as long as required and then deleted.
Questions
For any question about this process, email business@mentalium.tech. See also our Privacy Policy for how we collect and use data generally.
